Upside (2020-2023)
Objective: Initially hired to address a steep decline in merchant NPS, I quickly identified broad research needs, prompting the creation of new research functions — especially more UX/usability and experimentation.
Methods: team management, recruiting and onboarding, function build, NPS, quant surveys, qual surveys
Outcome: Scoped, planned, and launched Upside's first fully integrated research team at Upside with expertise in Marketing Insights, UX, statistics, and advanced economics.
Impact: Our team of 6 worked on over 50 projects quarterly and worked under a shared manifesto. Multiple team members have been promoted to “Principal” in their area of expertise.
